Take a blank worksheet with you
Bring with you.
- Representative garment references
- A short specification and visual direction
- A list of open questions for the project partner
01 · Project planning
Start with the garment and setting
Describe what the hanger should support and where it will be used. A home wardrobe, retail display and hospitality interior can raise different questions about space, presentation and handling.
- List the garment types and intended setting.
- Bring a garment photo or representative sample.
- Record the available hanging space and the way the garment should be presented.
02 · Project planning
Record dimensions and function
Write down the width, shoulder profile, thickness and hook clearance you have in mind. Treat these as requirements to review, rather than dimensions to infer from a concept image.
- Identify the measurements that need confirmation.
- Describe a bar, clips, strap support or grip requirements.
- Check the proposed shape with the intended garment during sample review.
03 · Project planning
Build a focused finish reference
Choose a small set of references that explain the desired appearance and hardware tone. A screen image is a useful starting point; confirm the final material and finish against an agreed physical reference.
- Separate the desired appearance from the material specification.
- Name or label each color and hardware reference.
- Record which reference should guide sample review.
04 · Project planning
Prepare branding and presentation
Include the logo artwork, preferred position, approximate size and packaging direction. A suitable application method depends on the material, finish and artwork selected for the project.
- Prepare the current artwork version and placement notes.
- Describe packaging, labeling and assortment requirements.
- Confirm artwork and presentation on the sample before approval.
05 · Project planning
Outline the commercial brief
Provide an estimated quantity, destination and desired timing. Ask the project partner to confirm minimum quantities, sampling arrangements, quotation scope and delivery terms for that same specification.
- State quantity by style or assortment where possible.
- Identify the destination and requested timing.
- List the costs, arrangements and dates that still need confirmation.
06 · Project planning
Keep a record of approval
Keep the specification, sample reference, artwork and agreed commercial scope together. Give revisions a date or version so that everyone can identify the same proposal.
- Record open questions separately from approved details.
- Identify the sample and artwork versions reviewed.
- Confirm the final scope in writing before an order.
